Abstract
Because of the relative speed between the LEO and GEO satellite, the Doppler effect is one of the design criteria that should be considered during the design phase for Optical Intersatellite communication. For compensating the Doppler effect, the orbital path of the satellites shall be known as precise as possible. On the other hand, the receiver should also capable of tuning the VCO based on the pre-determined optical frequency shift. in this study, the effects of the Keplerian parameters on the Doppler frequency shift are shown with couple of simulations.
