Abstract :
Nanocomposites are provided with outstanding properties different from ordinary material-reinforcing and toughing, which have great potential and prospects. This paper has carried on some mechanics experiments of epoxy resin filled by nano-rubber particles through MTS, and have gained their mechanics properties. In the meanwhile, the basic theory and formulas of micromechanics are presented, and are applied to various rubber-reinforced epoxy resin composites to predict the overall modulus. At last, theoretical predictions are compared with experimental data for isotropic composites, it is found that experimental results are all higher than the Hashin-Shtrikman bounds for two-phase isotropic composite materials, so it is necessary for further take the nanoeffects of nanorubber particles into account.
