Abstract :
This paper explores a shape-from-contour method for acquiring a 3D model by using a continuous sequence of images taken as an object rotates. The authors analyze the areas that are unexposed to contours and detect them for further investigation. They describe a general approach to use the shape from contours. The goal is to establish a 3D model of the human face for the growing needs of visual communications. Some good results have been obtained
