Abstract :
The experimental performance of coaxial couplings employing rare-earth magnets are given. The design has been optimised using numerical optimisation techniques. Four different designs with equal and unequal magnets are experimentally tested, to test the validity of optimum design. It is concluded that the performance of optimum design far exceeds any other configurations
