Abstract :
This paper deals with two-input non-parametric detectors used for signal detection and time delay estimation. The inpurs are two signals corrupted by noise received at two sensors with a known distance apart. The Spearman Rho(SR) detector is used to detect the signal and then estimate the time delay. The receiver operating characteristics of the SR detector is obtained and compared with that of the Kendall Tau(ET) one. Also the performance of the two nonparametric detectors are compared with that of Chan et al(4). Finally the output of the detectors are used to estimate the time delay.
