Abstract
Shows a model of visual perception particularly suitable to realize the segmentation of the pictorial scene. The model uses AI methods and in particular problem solving. The first module of the model has the task for making the regions emerge (their contours); it provides topological information about these regions. The second module associates each region with the structure organizing the pixels contained in it
