Abstract :
Networks in computer sciences have brought their load of problems when it became important to protect one´s own virtual environment. People of varied profiles are faced with different threats and are often unaware of the danger inherent to these. Many threats have been a problem since the first network and new technologies have brought their share of new issues too. This is why it´s crucial to raise awareness and curiosity in the population toward computer security. We´ve developed a system, Riskaware, which aims to offer an e-Learning framework to this problem. Thorough descriptions of the threats help us target different types of learners, but descriptions alone are not enough. Riskaware generates personalized tests and learning content aimed at raising awareness toward concrete and targeted threats, presenting personalized recommendations and solutions. Offering a Web2.0 front-end and using recent technologies, Riskaware helps to create an immersive environment for people to acquire a security culture.
