Abstract
We investigated an enhanced output THz-wave parametric oscillator using a thermo-electrically cooled MgO:LiNbO3 crystal. The output was enhanced above 1.3 THz at the same pump input energy. For easy, accurate temperature control, a thermo-electric cooler was used to cool the MgO:LiNbO3 crystal. First, we measured the temperature dependence of transmittance in MgO:LiNbO3 in the THz region using Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR).
