Abstract :
A modular data acquisition system for electrophysiological signals, mainly EEG, has been developed, which incorporates all necessary building blocks and functions between the analog electrode signals in the microvolt range and the digital world of data processing (40 Mbit/s fibre optic link). Two moderately priced 32+8 channel systems can be used independently in routine applications; for special tasks in research these two systems can be combined to a 64+8 channel high performance device. Processing and presentation of the data is carried out on a standard PC with a high resolution graphic screen.
