Abstract :
The decentralized variable structure control problem for large-scale distributed parameter systems with time delay is studied. The method of design for a completely decentralized variable structure controller and sliding manifold are obtained using M-matrix theory and Lp-estimation. The asymptotic stability in Sobolev space W1,2(Ω) of the sliding mode motion equation is also studied and estimation of time T for a solution arrived at on a sliding manifold is given by the Lyapunov method
