Abstract
Wireless communication network designers encounter numerous resource control problems some of which are specific to the type of technology employed while others are more generic in nature. In this paper we present two problems of different natures found in code division multiple access (CDMA) type of wireless communication networks. One of the problems is specific to CDMA wireless networks where as the other one is a network congestion type problem found in packet switched networks. We formulate the problems as resource control problems in queuing systems and examine various solution approaches to the above problems
