Abstract
Fault diagnosis(FD) is an important part of computer integrated manufacturing systems (CIMS), especially in continuous production processes. Because of the large variant product conditions, different raw materials and complex manufacture technologies, there is not a FD method alone can be universally applicable. A promising solution of this problem is to build up an intelligent platform to integrate various FD methods adaptively. In this paper, a common structure of this kind of intelligent fault diagnosis platform (IFDP) is proposed under the viewpoint of integration and intelligence. Knowledge representation, method organization and reasoning strategy are discussed. A realistic implementation of IFDP in a Choler-alkali electrolysis process is given
