Abstract :
This paper presents a novel PWM control scheme for three phase inverters. Compared to the traditional carrier based PWM control scheme, the new strategy is able to reduce the power semiconductors´ switching frequency to 66.7%, and to increase the amplitude of the inverter output voltages to 115.47%. This paper firstly provides a detail description of the new scheme, and then presents the mathematical expressions to explain the scheme precisely. Simulation and field test results are also included in this paper to provide further information about the new PWM approach
