Abstract :
We investigate the rapid prototyping technique which could produce the precise metallic parts or moulds through laser sintering or microcladding or by a combination process. The effect of the laser beam interaction time with the sintered/cladding powder and the relationship between the various layers are considered. A few examples which we have carried out are also illustrated
