Abstract :
We have applied THz time-domain (TD) attenuated total reflection (ATR) spectroscopy to a heavy fermion compound CeNiSn aiming at revealing a potential for an ultrafast opto-magnetic device the principle of which is based on the Kondo effect. The well-behaved frequency dependence of the phase of the ATR signal is clearly demonstrated.
