  • Abstract
A tutorial for an engineering application such as the power software ATP (Alternative Transients Program) is presented to demonstrate the power of the Internet and Java. The difficulties in creating an input data file for ATP are explained and clarified through Java´s programming capabilities. This helps the user to build the input data file for ATP effectively and quickly. The tutorial developed can be used from beginners to experienced power engineers, who wish to perform simulations using ATP
