  • Abstract
The implementation of a matched filter to a PSK signal is chosen as an example for using a new digital modular technology. This technology uses a serial representation of information. The number of bits can be locally modified according to the necessity of a partial calculus. Elementary modules enable computations, memorization and data flow check. Fast hard wired devices can be associated in order to speed up the processing. In our application a complex demodulation by means of transversal filtering and decimation leads to the reduction of the sampling rate. Then the matched filter is implemented using a low frequency (in phase and quadrature) components representation of the signals. Real time processing is possible for few kilohertz bandwidth signals and set up time is reduced.
