Abstract
It´s been one of the essential strategies of China´s overall growth blueprint to further improve urban sustainable development capacity. The city-group located in Shandong Peninsular has not only played an important part in local economic development but demonstrated influential promotion for the national economic construction. This paper, by employing the approach combing GC and level eigenvalue, measures eight cities involved in the area in terms of the sustainable development capacity, and then concludes that they are all strong in economic growth but distinctly unbalanced in their interior systems. In the end, strategic advices are provided for fully improving urban sustainable development capacity of the city-group covered from the angle of the regional economics.
