Abstract
National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) is conducting ultra-realistic communication research since 2006. The aim of this research is to create a sense of “being there” for natural and realistic communication. In this research project, NICT has developed some novel glasses-free 3D display systems. Among these systems, a large-size glasses-free 3D display using super-multi-view 3D video technologies and an electronic holography system using laser light are introduced in this paper.
