Abstract
This article describes an approach for modeling different types of congestion management methods. A basic price calculation method and a new congestion management identification method are described. Case studies have been simulated, comparing counter trading and implicit auctioning. The focus is on what economic impact of these methods on the behavior of various actors in a reregulated power market. The results are compared and discussed.
