Abstract :
To supplement our multimodal object detection system, designed to identify `suspicious´ objects along a roadside during troop movement, we have implemented a change detection feature. As a pre-processing step, a shadow-removal algorithm is introduced to minimize false positives and false negatives caused by temporal variations in natural light.
