Abstract :
We report an experiment on quantum simulation of the Jaynes-Cummings-Hubbard (JCH) model using two trapped ions. A dynamics derived from a JCH Hamiltonian is experimentally realized, and an adiabatic transfer from a localized (insulator) ground state to a delocalized (superfluid) ground state are observed.
