Abstract :
The Hermite normal form of a matrix is employed in classification of (Matrix) polynomial (A,b) pairs with respect to similarity transformations. The polynomial (A,b) pairs can be viewed as coming from models for time delay systems with commensurate delays. Algorithms for finding canonical forms for such pairs are described.
