Abstract :
We develop a three-dimensional coupled-wave theory to model triangular-lattice photonic-crystal surface-emitting lasers. Unlike previous theories, our presented theory is able to treat non-Γ-point modes. We compare our theoretical results with experiments and find good agreement.
