The use of call detail records and data mart dimensioning for telecommunication companies

The CDR files contain data which are recorded at each call made. In this paper the use of CDR files is described but emphasise is on the use of information from this files in dimensioning of effective database by the help of which it is possible to analyze the customers´ habits of telecommunication services in details. It is necessary to use database in these systems because the great quantity of data are accessible. One of the models appropriate in such system is dimensional model of database called model star.
