Abstract
The role of radio frequency spectrum monitoring is growing along with the growth in demand for radio services. Therefore, this paper considers the importance of monitoring and gives a short overview and basic principles of spectrum monitoring. It is shown how monitoring is introduced on the example of developed countries such as the UK and Germany. This paper also provides an overview of the situation in monitoring, ie. control of radio spectrum in Serbia. Finally, some basic problems in the future development of monitoring in Serbia and a short conclusion are given.
