Abstract
In a three-phase current converter there exists a strong constraint between the conducting state of power switches to ensure a current loop always exists. In fact pulse positions in first 1/6 cycle decide pulse position in the remaining 5/6 cycle. A method to synthesize all PWM waves which can be used in current converters is presented. Then a direct way to compare different PWM waves is introduced. Using this method, an optimal modulation PWM wave is able to be found
