  • Abstract
Polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR) plays an important role in surface parameter retrieval, forest height inversion, terrain classification and target recognition. In order to improve the Quantitative application of SAR image, the paper presents a polarimetric SAR calibration method using four calibrators to correct the crosstalk and channel imbalance in transmit channel and receive channel. After the calibration process, we obtain the accurate surface feature scattering information. A SAR superresolution imaging method applies on the polarimetric SAR image for improving resolution and reducing sidelobes. The paper gives the flow of superresolution process and analysis the preservation characteristic of polarimetric information after SAR superresolution imaging. The impact on polarimetric calibration after superresolution polarimetric SAR method processing is analyzed with simulation experiments.
