Abstract
In order to research the characteristics of traffic flow with fixed-time scheme at the T-shaped intersection, a cellular automata model is proposed to simulate the intersection with all directional vehicles. The rules are applied to avoid the conflicts between different directional vehicles. Simulation results show that the flux will increase with green time but it has the upper limit. The average travel time will increase with circle time but decrease with green time and it also has the upper limit. The simulation results indicate that the suitable value of green time and circle time will improve the capacity of intersection.
