  • Abstract
Recently a lot of works has been reported about target detection in OFDM Radars. But, in all of these papers assumed target has constant scattering coefficients. Now in this paper, we investigate the effect of target fluctuation in OFDM radar\´s performance. We apply fluctuation subcarrier to subcarriers while the scattering coefficients of target are constant pulse to pulse. For this, we consider two scenarios : in the first scenario, the RCS of target is constant from subcarrier to subcarrier and pulse to pulse (Non-fluctuating), and in the second scenario, the target\´s RCS varies slowly according to a Chi-square probability density function with two degrees of freedom (Swerling case I) subcarrier to subcarrier while they are constant pulse to pulse. We use the GLR detector presented by "Sen" for target detection and evaluated the effect of target fluctuation on its performance.
