Abstract
Presents new morphological filters built on contour-structure-element based morphological operations. The filters can preserve completely the details and meaningful features of the image, such as the edge points, curves, locations, contrasts, etc., and remove noise effectively. A geometrical description of the behaviour of the filters is proposed. The experiment shows that the filters removed noises effectively while not distorting the image
