Abstract

Enterprise data and files in manufacturing enterprises are heterogeneous and distributed. Nowadays, there is a tendency to use integration platform in CIMS (computer integrated manufacturing systems) development. In this paper, the background of developing the manufacturing enterprise CIMS application integration platform (MACIP) in China is given. MACIP is an environment for the development, integration and execution of CIMS applications. The concept and function of a global information system are presented
