Abstract :
A new numerical algorithm, which combines genetic algorithm and parameter tracking schemes, is presented. An eigenvalue equation of the surface wave is solved accurately based on this algorithm. Compared with others, this new algorithm has some advantages, such as having no initial value and derivative information requirement, and being simple, universal and accurate according to the demand.
