Abstract :
Today, the advanced spectrum analyzer with an internal preamplifier has higher-level measurement accuracy and lower noise floor; this paper introduces the correctional factor and equivalent noise bandwidth and the calculation formula which is used to measure the phase noise of a digital signal generator using a spectrum analyzer. It is very convenient to use the result to write a testing program to measure the phase noise of a digital signal generator.
