Abstract :
This paper is in response to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) lockout/tagout standard and the impact it has had on Augusta Newsprint (USA). While Augusta Newsprint has had its own lockout/tagout program in place for some time, there were some requirements in the OSHA standard that had to be addressed in their own program. This paper first outlines the OSHA requirements included in the lockout/tagout standard, and then describes those changes Augusta Newsprint implemented in order to satisfy the standard.<>
