Abstract :
Peer-to-peer or P2P technology is a collaborative technology premised on individual users voluntarily making computer resources available, such as files and computing services. Nodes in the network play the role both of a client and a server. In this paper, we apply peer-to-peer networks for the argumentation of building a collaborative virtual learning community. We enhance current peer-to-peer and instant messenger with content quality control and group social network to further improve content discovery and group discussion. In the last section, we propose an algorithm to create a collaborative virtual learning community from a set of n peers. The results have shown that building a collaborative virtual learning community can help teachers, learners, and other collaborators access relevant content and find related knowledgeable collaborators who are willing to share their knowledge.
