Abstract
This paper proposes a new design method of the optimal deadbeat regulator in the z-domain. This regulator is the dynamic state feedback induced from the fixed-endpoint optimal regulator in the t-domain, and consists of constant parameters. Furthermore, a new control law with robustness is proposed. It is the optimal deadbeat control for a nominal model, and becomes robust for parameter variations
