  • Abstract
    An iterative optimization technique based on the method of successive projection is proposed for the design of 2-D linear phase FIR digital filters. The method compares favourably with the presently available design techniques. To illustrate the method several examples with masks up to 25 × 25 have been solved. The technique can also be used to design one-dimensional linear phase FIR filters.
