Abstract
This paper deals with the speed control of a DC-motor when the current is the only one measurement. A LQG controller is designed by assembling an integral LQ state feedback and a Kalman observer to estimate the speed and the load torque. Its robustness and performances are discussed and experimentally tested. The current is limited by switching from the speed regulator to a current one when necessary
