Abstract :
A sensitivity measure which describes changes in the damping of complex conjugate eigenvalues due to changes in the entries of the closed loop system matrix is introduced. An example is presented to illustrate the application of eigenstructure assignment with damping sensitivity reduction to the design of a flight control system.
