Abstract :
This paper addresses environmental and regulatory issues involving silicone dielectric coolant, which is one of the primary replacement candidates for PCBs in small power transformers. Silicone fluid offers excellent thermal, electrical and chemical stability in transformer applications, and is often specified in situations where fire safety is a major concern. It provides safe, reliable operation over a long service life.<>
