Abstract :
The problem of designing a low order robust stabilizing compensator is decomposed into (i) find a low order stabilizing compensator and (ii) robustify the stabilizing compensator. A theorem from linear programming aids in the solution of (i), and an optimization criterion can be used to aid in solving the problem (ii). For the illustration purpose, some numerical examples are given.
