Abstract :
It is hard to do the actual experiment except the theoretic analysis and the simulation of computer in no wind farm circumstance. This paper proposed a project to imitate the actual output characteristic of turbine by using variable-frequency speed regulating induction motor. Firstly, the turbine aerodynamic characteristic and theory of maximal wind energy absorption is analyzed Secondly, speed sensor less vector control strategy to induction motor is analyzed to imitate the wind wheel machine dynamic output characteristic. Thirdly, the wind turbine dynamic output system is composed of computer, converter, SERCOS card, induction motor, etc. Specially, the paper presents a real time data communication based on SERCOS Card with PC PCI bus. Finally, the method is used in 30 kW experiment platform as the drive of wind generator, the satisfactory results, which confirmed the feasibility and usability of simulating wind turbine output characteristic by variable-frequency speed regulating induction motor.
