Rosencher type equations for l2 approximation of linear constant systems

This paper deals with the problem of finding a best approximant of given order, in the l2 sense, of a given (possibly non rational) discrete linear constant stable system. Under generic conditions on the approximant, we give an equation satisfied by the critical points of the distance function.
