Abstract :
Block coded modulation schemes using group codes over the additive group of GF(2m) which are also cyclic have been described by Issakson and Zetterberg (1993) for a fixed rate of m-1/m bits/symbol. We characterize group codes over the additive group of GF(pm) which are also cyclic for all possible rates using a generalization of DFT over elementary Abelian groups reported by Zain and Sundar Rajan (see Proc. ISIT´95, British Columbia, Canada, p.495, 1995)
