Abstract :
The aim of the present study was to analyze the contribution rate of personality characteristics and parental rearing styles to internet addiction disorder (IAD) by component factors algorithm from 42 IAD vocational students. The study also explored which factor was more efficient to Internet addiction Disorder. The study used the Minnesota multiple personality tests Inventory (MMPI), including 10 clinical subscales and 7 additional scales, and Egna Minnen Barndoms Uppfostran (EMBU), including 6 subscales of fathers´ rearing and 5 of mothers´ rearing; totally 28 efficient subscales. The influence of Parental rearing style is more significant than that of teenagers´ personality on Internet addiction behavior. Variety of personality factors plays a secondary and cooperating role among the development of internet addiction behaviors.
