Abstract :
We summarize some new developments in the study of stability and control of power systems and identify some important issues that need to be urgently addressed. It is the view of this author that no real solution to the transient stability problem will acquired unless these issues have satisfactorily been resolved. We also include errata for reference [1] at the end.
