Abstract
Describes a method of organizing course material on the World Wide Web (WWW) that has been implemented during the course of teaching a computer algorithms course at the State University of New York, Binghamton. We first provide the motivations for using such an approach. We then describe a technique for organizing the material that can be implemented in stages. The use of the Internet has been growing at a rapid pace during the last few years, and the trend is expected to continue. With the advent of graphical navigation tools (Web browsers), the WWW has become a much more interactive medium for individual research and learning. The use of multimedia has the potential for illuminating difficult principles and ideas for the students.
