Abstract :
Contemporary energy management systems (EMS) are moving toward distributed setups, which contain forms of artificial intelligence. In this paper a proposal of a multi-agent system architecture (MAS) is presented, which can meet the needs of the new generation of EMS. Overview of macro- and micro-architecture of the system is given with possible realizations. In the last sections, there is a proposed way to ensure interoperability between MASs from different vendors.
