Abstract :
Traditionally, continue-wave method is used in Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurement. But high-resolution information is not gained in the system. The frequency-domain data of an anechoic chamber is obtained by stepped-frequency testing. Using inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT), high-resolution time-domain response is achieved. In order to meet the veracious result, unwanted signals should be eliminated. The target interference with the ground is removed by setting up isolation absorbing screen inside an anechoic chamber. It is possible to avoid antenna coupling by reasonable disposition of transmitting antenna and receiving antenna. The more accurate measurement result is got by using time-gating function in signal processing technique. The results from simulation and experiment show that the accuracy will be improved after this method are used.
